AnyView for Windows 95
Version 3.0



Welcome!
AnyView is the easiest way to control your display in Windows 95.  This
README document contains the most recent information regarding AnyView 3.0
and will guide you through the installation of the software. For documentation
about using AnyView, please run the "AnyView 3 Documentation" icon in the 
"AnyView for Windows 95" folder after installing AnyView.


System Requirements
Before you install AnyView, please confirm that your system is equipped with the 
following software and hardware:

 * Microsoft Windows 95
 * An 80486 microprocessor (CPU)
 * Approximately one megabyte of hard disk space
 * A supported multi-resolution display adapter and an appropriate multiple-
   frequency monitor. The resolutions and color depths you will be able to obtain will 
   depend on your display adapter and monitor.



Installation

First, check AnyView's requirements in the preceding section to ensure that your system 
has the appropriate resources to run AnyView. Next, start Windows 95 as you normally 
would and proceed as follows:

   1. Place the first AnyView diskette in the appropriate diskette drive (A or B).

   2. Open the folder corresponding to the diskette from where you are installing and 
      double-click the INSTALL.EXE file

      OR

      Click on the "Start" menu and click on run.  Type [drive]:SETUP.EXE, 
      where [drive] is the letter of the drive where you placed the AnyView diskette, and 
      press [Enter]. A screen will appear with two options:  Install and Exit.  
      Choose Install with your mouse to continue.

   3. The installation program will display the version of AnyView that it will install, and 
      the directory in which it will install it. The default is C:\AV3, but you may specify 
      a different drive and/or directory by clicking the Directory button.. To accept the
      default directory, select Next.

   4. The AnyView files will be copied to the directory that you specified.  AnyView is 
      self-contained in its directory  no files are copied to the Windows directories.

Installation is complete!  To run the program, click on the "Start" menu, followed by the 
"Programs" menu.  From there, the AnyView icon will be in the "AnyView for Windows 
95" menu.  The installation also puts AnyView in your "Startup" group so that it is 
automatically run when you start Windows 95.


Get-out-of-trouble Hot Key: [CTRL]+[ALT]+[6]
   AnyView has provided you with a hot key to get you out of trouble quickly
   should you select a configuration that doesn't work properly. Holding down
   the [CTRL]+[ALT]+[6] keys will reset your resolution to 640x480 in 256 colors.

Back-to-last-mode Hot Key: [CTRL]+[ALT]+[B]
   This hot key can also be used to get you out of an unviewable mode, or
   just as a quick way to change back to the last resolution and color depth
   you were in previous to the most recent change.



UnInstalling AnyView

   To remove AnyView from your system, select Run from the Windows 
   Start Menu, then type av3unins <Enter>
